Looking to shed the conservative, Midwestern identity of its parent company and bring to life the playful spirit of Google culture, Motorola Mobility and our design team had the challenge of finding a balance between what we know of design, what defines the client’s vision, and what the users want to experience in their space.
The design team started by holding visioning and brainstorming sessions to test theme ideas and see what would most resonate with employees. Including the users in the process can sometimes be challenging to navigate but it can also introduce new points of view and creative approaches to space. And sometimes, those ideas include bringing a lifelong dream to fruition in the form of a Batman themed conference room.
